Space for Sound
During lockdown, whilst we are confined to our homes and constant surroundings, it is impossible not to dream of places we would like to escape to, and imagine how we would feel within them. Here, I dream of euphoria on a dance floor, a space for sound. To feel safe but lost at the same time, to feel the physical vibrations of sound, to embrace the colours and shapes. It does not belong to one person, but to many.
The landscape is infinite and becomes the dance floor, the architecture is sculptural and bold, expressed as sound sculptures to focus and shape the sound. Sound is exerted from the walls, from buried beneath the floor and so it becomes part of the architecture.
